Adult Education

Adult Education

Each fall and spring, the pastors of First Church of Lombard, First United Methodist Church of Lombard, and Calvary Episcopal Church unite to offer a five-week adult education series.  Recent topics have included interfaith dialogue, forgiveness, and baptism.  The sessions have been offered on Wednesdays, both in the morning and evening.

Adult education happens at First Church in other ways: Peace and Justice Day field trips to places like the Illinois Holocaust Museum and the National Museum of Mexican Art, educational events offered by the Amos Project, occasional Sunday morning classes on topics such as the Bible, and single-session events addressing subjects like the Middle East and end-of-life decisions.
